Basketball Camps: Overnight Camps FAQs
What do all campers receive as part of camp attendance?
All campers receive the following:
- Official camp reversible practice jersey
- Invitation for two to private 76ers practice or preseason game/clinic.
- Official camp handbook
- Official camp player evaluation
- Certificate of Achievement
Can my child be assigned to the same cabin as his/her friend(s)?
Yes, on the questionnaire you return to us, simply list the names of friends.
Should I select a one or two-week session for my child?
Each week is complete in itself. If you are not certain, it is usually best to select one week, particularly for the youngest campers.
What medical personnel is there while my child is at camp?
We have a Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer at camp at all times.
Is individual instruction available at camp?
Yes, free time periods we can assign a coach to work with your child on a specific skill.
Is the camp very competitive?
Never more than 8 players on a team, every camper must play at least half the game. Campers are assigned to leagues based on both age & ability level.
What additional activities are available at camp facility?
Other supervised activities include swimming, boating on our private lake, mini-golf, beach volleyball, batting cage, shuffleboard, ping-pong, canteen & individual instruction.
What is the menu like?
- Breakfast: Milk, juice, fruit bar, toast cereal (sugar or non-sugar) french toast, eggs, pancakes.
- Lunch: Juice, soup & salad bar, dessert everyday with the following on different days: grilled cheese & ravioli, pizza, hoagies/subs of meat, tuna or turkey.
- Dinners: Juice, salad bar, dessert everyday with the following on different days: Baked/fried chicken, BBQ/baked chicken with macaroni & cheese, spaghetti & meatballs, lasagna &baked ziti and our famous Philly cheesesteak & french fries.
Where do the kids sleep at camp?
Campers are housed in cabins with other campers of the same age. There is at least one counselor in every cabin. Sinks, showers, toilets, video system in each cabin. Cabins hold 8-16 campers. Buildings are not air conditioned.
Does my child need extra money at camp?
We have a canteen/snack bar that is open twice daily. Kids may purchase drinks, ice cream, pizza, candy, sundry items, play video games, etc. Most campers take a $30 card per week- this is optional. Apparel items are available for purchase on Sunday and Friday.

When flight plans are finalized, please fax your itinerary (airline, flight # & time of arrival) to 215-952-5911.
May I visit the camp during the week?
No - to insure safety of campers, insurance regulations prohibit guests (including parents) from visiting.
What is the phone policy?
Pay phones are available from Wednesday evening to the end of the week. Our efforts are to keep all calls to a minimum. Campers may place collect calls home or need a phone card.
Is there bus transportation?
What are waiter, kitchen or special assignment positions?
These are the only reduced tuition (no scholarships) positions in camp. Waiter (12 & older) and Special Assignment positions save $100 off the weekly tuition Call for availability - mainly for returning campers.
Where do most of the kids come from?
Last year's campers represented over 30 countries and 40 U.S. states.
May I change my week?
You are welcome to change your week(s) at anytime as long as space is available in the session of your choice. You cannot do this online - just call our office when a change of week is needed
May I change my shirt size?
Kids will be given any size they want at camp. Size listed on application is mainly to estimate our orders.
Can I cancel my registration?
All fees are refundable until May 15 except for a $200 non refundable registration fee per week.
2 week session is a $400 non refundable registration fee
Where is the staff from?
The counselors are all college players along with coaches from all levels-college, high school and middle school.
May I have a referral of someone who has attended camp previously?
Give us a fax number & your zip code along with your childs name & age & we'll fax you a couple of names in the area or email us at director@sixerscamps.com
When is the Medical form and Questionnaire due that came in the instruction packet?
The Camp Questionnaire & Medical form are both due on or before June 1. Medical form must be signed by a physician. Both forms must be on file in our office to participate in the program.
Who are the Guest Speakers?
There are generally a few speakers each week (current & former NBA players and coaches). Our aim is to schedule players & coaches that enjoy being around the kids & can deliver a positive message.
What time should I arrive on Sunday?
Between 1:00 to 3:00. Our program will begin promptly at 3:00.
What time should I pick up my child on Friday?
Camp ends at 11:30 am. However, parents are welcome to see the Championship Games at 9:30, the awards ceremonies at 10:30. Lunch, consisting of hot dogs and hamburgers, is served at 11:00.
Coed weeks - do boys & girls play against each other?
No - they each have their own leagues, court & cabin complex.
Can I download Camp Instructions?
Yes. Click on "Camper Account Login" at the top of the page. Login then click on "download instructions."
Will I receive a confirmation?
Yes, upon registering you will receive an email confirmation & instruction packet.
