Participation at camp
is a mandatory requirement to be a member of the Sixers
Junior Dance Team in 2008-09. Please join
us this summer and see if you have what it takes to make the team.

Can
you handle it?
The choreographers and
director of the Sixers Dancers are ready to help you bring your
dance skills to the next level. Choreography, turns, leaps, hip
hop, all taught in age appropriate classes in the beautiful Pocono
Mountains. Instruction by members of the Sixers Dance Team will
help to improve technique along with all the secrets that help them
perform in front ofthousands of fans each game. Kick it out with
the ladies who are rated the best dance team in the NBA and find
out why the Sixers Junior Dance Team is a favorite new addition
to the Sixers home games.

Showtime
The three days of dance
classes will culminate in a showcase where all participants and
instructors will "strut their stuff". Parents and friends
will be delighted as the dancers perform the choreography they have
learned during the workshops. Dance camp is $600 for the weekly
session. Non-refundable deposit of $150.
All dancers will arrive by 1:30 on arrival
day. Workshops will begin at 3:00 on the first day and continue
throughout the week. Showtime on the last day is at 10:30 a.m. There
will be a farewell barbecue for the parents and dancers immediately
following the performance on Friday.

The
fun doesn't end when you leave the camp
Included in your camp
tuition is an invitation for two (2) to a PRIVATE DANCE
TEAM JAMFEST in the fall. Campers will actually experience
the thrill of performing with the SIXERS DANCERS
- a great time to be had by all.

Q: What do all campers
receive as part of camp attendance?
A: All campers receive
the following:

to a private DANCE TEAM JAMFEST
Q: Is transportation available?
A: No - directions to
camp will be sent to you along with a detailed camper instructions
packet of what to bring, etc. Directions are also outlined below.
Q: My child would like
to be in the same teaching group as her friend?
A: If age/ability are
similar, they are most always assigned to the same teaching group.
If not, please tell site Director. Campers are also placed according
to dance experience.
Q. My child would like
to be assigned to the same cabin as other friends.
A. No problem-cabins hold
8-14 campers & requests are always honored.
Q: Is the camp very competitive?
A: No. These are "teaching
camps" with focus on skill development.
Q: May I cancel my registration?
A: Everything but a $150
non-refundable registration fee will be refunded up to February
15, 2007.
Q: Are facilities air
conditioned?
A: No.
Q. Is there time to do
other things at camp?
A. While most of the program
will include dance related activities, there is an opportunity each
day to swim, kayak, miniature golf, ping-pong, etc.
Q: Is there any contact
with the Sixers Dance team during the school year?
A: Yes. All campers will
be invited (with a parent) to our JAMFESTand preseason
game at the Wachovia Center during the 2008-09 season.
HOTELS:There
areseveral hotels just 5 minutes from camp if you need to spend
a night in the Poconos.

From Philadelphia
and points south:
Follow I-95 N or I-76
West to I-476 N. Merge onto I-476 N (Portions toll). 41.1 miles
Take the US-22 exit, exit number 33, towards I-78/ALLENTOWN/PA-309/HARRISBURG.
Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto US-22 E. 16.3 miles
Take the PA-33 N exit towards STROUDSBURG/POCONO MTS. Merge onto
PA-33 N. 21.3 miles ( 34.3 km) Take US-209 N towards STROUDSBURG.
Merge onto US-209 N. 3.7 miles ( 6.0 km) Take the I-80 E/US-209
N exit. 0.3 miles Merge onto US-80W. 1.4 miles Take the PA-611/PARK
AVE exit, exit number 307, towards PA-191. 0.2 miles Turn RIGHT
onto PA-611. 0.3 miles Turn RIGHT onto PA-191. Continue for 2.6
miles and look for the entrance to camp on your Right.
From New York
and points north:
From the George Washington
Bridge, merge onto I-80 W and continue into Pennsylvania (over 60
miles). After paying toll to enter Pennsylvania, continue for approxmiately
5 miles, then take the PA-191/BROAD ST exit, exit number 307. Turn
LEFT onto PA-191. Continue for 3.0 miles and look for the entrance
to camp on your Right.
